Lesson 1: School of Infantry
Lesson 1 guides students through a selection of tasks that develop floor work, solo creation and travelling in space. Inspired by the BalletBoyz piece Young Men, this lesson can help bring the history curriculum to life through creative movement.
Lesson 2: Basic Training
Using imagery and improvisation to create movement. Working as a duet to create a movement sequence using 5 movements on the floor and 5 standing.
Lesson 3: Field Combat
Lesson 3 guides students through a selection of tasks that develop fitness, endurance, contact work, creativity and duet creation.
Lesson 4: Battalion
Lesson 4 guides students through a selection of tasks that develop reactivity, listening skills, group work, formation and creativity.
Lesson 5: Round up the Troops
Lesson 5 guides students through a selection of tasks that develop fitness, endurance, the ability to learn a set phrase, group work and creativity. The recap section is a prompt for the revision of sequences from across the 5 lessons.

Young Men Stage Production
In an intensely moving portrayal of love, friendship, loss and survival, Young Men explores the theme of war and the bonds that develop between the men consumed by it. Young Men is choreographed by Iván Pérez (Nederlands Dans Theater I and II, Ballet Moscow, and the National Ballet of Cuba) and features a newly-commissioned original score from the cult singer songwriter Keaton Henson.

Young Men Movie
Winner of the Rose d'Or and Golden Prague Award (2017), this film without words is an immersive emotional journey into the reality facing young men in conflict at the extremes of human experience. Based on the hugely successful stage production of the same name that premiered at Sadler's Wells in 2015, it is choreographed by Iván Pérez with a commissioned score by composer Keaton Henson.
Young Men will be available to buy on DVD and as a digital download from 11 November 2017.
